50-50 Rules of Play

Rules of Play for 50/50 Electronic Raffle:

1. The on-line lottery will take place from May 6, 2019 to June 27, 2019.

2. The hand-held option to purchase lottery tickets will be available at the following locations during the listed dates and times: (refer to maps attached to Rules of Play)

a. Handheld machines will be available to purchase lottery tickets and will be stored nightly at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (9 Ursuline Avenue, Chatham) from May 6 – June 27, 2019.

b. Handheld machines will be available to purchase tickets Monday, May 6, 2019 at the following locations:

• Maple City Homes new development (Daylight Point, Prestancia subdivision, Chatham, ON) from 9:00 am – 9:45 am
• Maple City Homes office (53 St Clair St, Chatham, ON) from 10:20 am – 10:45 am.
• TekSavvy Solutions (800 Richmond Street, Chatham, ON) from 11:00 am – 11:45 am
• Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (80 Grand Avenue West, Chatham, ON) from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
• Municipality of Chatham-Kent (315 King Street West, Chatham, ON) from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm

c. Handheld machines will be available to purchase lottery tickets on May 15th, 2019 at the following locations:

  • Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (325 Margaret Ave, Wallaceburg, ON) from 10:30 am – 12: 30 pm
  • Sons of Kent Brewing Company (27 Adelaide St South, Chatham, ON) from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

d.Handheld machines will be available to purchase lottery tickets on May 16th, 2019 at the following locations:

  • Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (80 Grand Avenue West, Chatham, ON) from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • Fix Auto (315 Richmond Street, Chatham, ON) from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

e. Handheld machines will be available to purchase lottery tickets on May 29th, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at YA Engage, 730 Richmond Street, Chatham, ON

f. Handheld machines will be available to purchase lottery tickets on: Friday, June 21, 2019 along King Street, Chatham, ON, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, throughout Tecumseh Park between 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and at Son’s of Kent Brewing Company from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

g. Handheld machines will be available to purchase lottery tickets on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 9:00 am – 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm at 175 King Street W, Chatham, ON

h. Handheld machines will be available to purchase lottery tickets on: Saturday, June 22, 2019 along King Street, Chatham, ON from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, throughout Tecumseh Park between 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, and at Son’s of Kent Brewing Company (27 Adelaide St S, Chatham, ON) from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

i. Handheld machines will be available to purchase lottery tickets on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm at RM Sotheby’s (Classic Car Drive, Blenheim, ON).

3. The draw will take place at 1:00 pm on June 27, 2019 at Maple City Homes, located at Park Street West, Chatham, Ontario.

2. All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.

3. Tickets are $10.00 for 10 tickets, $20.00 for 60 tickets and $50.00 for 200 tickets.

4. Tickets will be available at various locations throughout the Municipality of Chatham-Kent between May 6, 2019 and June 27, 2019. They will also be available at the office of CKHAF at 9 Ursuline Avenue, Chatham, Ontario, or online by going to ckhaf.ca. Please refer to maps attached.

5. Tickets will be sold using electronic raffle system supplied by Ascend Fundraising Solutions.

6. After buying, patrons will be given by the sellers, a receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.

7. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw for the Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser.

8. The amount of the 50/50 will be on the www.ckhaf.ca website, and updated regularly on CKHAF social media channels.

9. The winning number will be announced via a Facebook Live event on the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Facebook page, as well as through posts on the CKHAF Instagram and Twitter pages (@ckhafoundation), posted on www.ckhaf.ca, and through the Chatham-Daily News.

10. If the patron with the winning number on their ticket is at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation where the number has been drawn, they may then come to the front lobby to claim their prize.

11. If the winner is not in attendance Maple City Homes on the day of the draw, or does not wish to claim their prize immediately, they may claim their prize by contacting Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation at: (519) 436-2538, or by email at: foundation@ckha.on.ca. The ticket may then be brought to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation located at 9 Ursuline Avenue, Chatham, ON N7M 5L9 at an agreed upon time for ticket verification. The winner will then be paid by cheque for the amount posted at the event for which they bought their ticket. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies. All payments will be made by cheque.

12. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchase for.

13. The winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.

14. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for the Igniting Healthcare 50-50 Raffle. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.

15. If no winner comes forward the number will be announced repeatedly through local media, and posted on the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation website and social media accounts.

17. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning stub will kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated to a charity other than Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

18. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws:
a. Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Board of Directors, and Staff assisting in the conduct and management of the 50-50 event may not have any monetary interest ticket or entry, or have a chance to win a lottery prize in any way.
b. Any volunteer actively assisting in the conduct and management of the 50-50 event may not purchase a ticket. Volunteers who are not participating in an active role may purchase a ticket.

19. The above set of rules will be posted at each event and location.
