Rules of Play for 50/50 Electronic Raffle

  1. The on-line lottery will take place from May 20, 2021 to August 5, 2021, tickets can be purchased at any time between these dates at ignite5050.ca.
  2. The hand-held option to purchase lottery tickets may be available at various locations throughout the Municipality of Chatham-Kent between the dates of June 11, 2021 to August 5, 2021 (pending Covid-19 restrictions).
  3. The following locations are scheduled for ticket sales during the listed dates and times (subject to change):
    • Handheld machines will be available to purchase lottery tickets at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (9 Ursuline Avenue, Chatham) from June 11, 2021 to August 5, 2021.

  4. The draw will take place at 1:00 pm on August 5, 2021 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation office, 9 Ursuline Ave., Chatham.
  5. All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.
  6. Tickets are $10.00 for 10 tickets, $20.00 for 60 tickets and $50.00 for 200 tickets.
  7. Tickets will be sold using electronic raffle system supplied by Ascend Fundraising Solutions.
  8. After buying, patrons will be given by the sellers, a receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.
  9. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw for the Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser.
  10. The amount of the 50/50 will be on the website www.ignite5050.ca, and updated regularly on CKHAF social media channels.
  11. The winning number will be announced via a Facebook Live event on the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Facebook page, as well as through posts on the CKHAF Instagram and Twitter pages (@ckhafoundation), posted on ckhaf.ca and through the Chatham-Daily News.
  12. If the patron with the winning number on their ticket is at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation where the number has been drawn, they may then come to the front lobby to claim their prize.
  13. If the winner is not in attendance at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation office, or does not wish to claim their prize immediately, they may claim their prize by contacting Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation at: (519) 436-2538, or by email at: foundation@ckha.on.ca. The ticket may then be brought to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation located at 9 Ursuline Avenue, Chatham, ON N7M 5L9 at an agreed upon time for ticket verification. The winner will then be paid by cheque for the amount posted at the event for which they bought their ticket. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies. All payments will be made by cheque.
  14. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchase for.
  15. The winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.
  16. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for the Igniting Healthcare 50/50 Raffle. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
  17. If no winner comes forward the number will be announced repeatedly through local media, and posted on the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation website and social media accounts.
  18. In the event that no winner comes forward, the jackpot prize will be kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated to a charity other than Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
  19. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draw:
  • Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Board of Directors, and staff assisting in the conduct and management of the 50/50 event may not have any monetary interest ticket or entry, or have a chance to win a lottery prize in any way.
  • Any volunteer actively assisting in the conduct and management of the 50/50 event may not purchase a ticket.  Volunteers who are not participating in an active role may purchase a ticket.
