Thank You Chatham-Kent!
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHA) is pleased to announce that the 26th Annual Christmas Wish Tree Appeal has raised an outstanding $125,000 for the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.
Christmas Wish Tree has become a cherished tradition in our community. Through this annual appeal, residents of Chatham-Kent are able to publicly honour or remember a family member, friend, colleague and/or business by making a donation to illuminate a blue, silver or gold Christmas Wish Tree light in support of local healthcare.
“We, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, would like to thank the residents of Chatham-Kent for their generous contributions to this year’s Christmas Wish Tree Appeal,” says Michele Grzebien-Huckson, Executive Director, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation. “Every gift made to this year’s appeal has brought us one step closer to bringing new, much-needed, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment to our local hospitals. Thank you very much for your ongoing generosity – we are very grateful for your support.”
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation would also like to thank The Chatham Daily News, the Wallaceburg Courier Press, Delhaven Orchards, Chatham-Kent Tree Care, Marge and Tom Turner and the numerous volunteers who helped us with this year’s Christmas Wish Tree Appeal.
About the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign
As part of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s directive to raise funds to support CKHA’s Highest Priority Needs, the $6.9 million CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign was launched in late 2014 to support CKHA in the purchase of new equipment for the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
This new diagnostic imaging equipment will serve almost every program offered at CKHA and is key for diagnoses in a multitude of cases, including heart, stroke, cancer, orthopedics, rehabilitation, obstetrics and gynecology, just to name a few.
To date, more than $3.2 million has been raised for this important campaign.
