CHATHAM, ON (Tuesday, September 23, 2014): On Sunday, October 5, 2014, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHA) will host its 2nd Annual Chatham-Kent Pumpkin Run… for local healthcare – a fun, family fundraising event featuring a 5km Walk/Run, a 10km Run and a 100m ‘Lil Pumpkin Kids Dash. This event will start and finish in Rondeau Provincial Park in Morpeth.
It’s not too late to register! Participate in the 2nd Annual Chatham-Kent Pumpkin Run as an individual or as a member of a Team. Space is limited, so register today to ensure your spot. All proceeds will support the upcoming CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.
Date: Sunday, October 5, 2014
Location: Rondeau Provincial Park, Morpeth
- Day-of Registration: 8:00 a.m.
- Kids 100m Dash: 9:00 a.m.
- 10 km Run: 9:30 a.m.
- 5 km Walk/Run: 9:45 a.m.
- Food & Awards Ceremony: 11:00 a.m.
Chip timing will be provided by Chip Time Results.
For those needing a ride to and from Rondeau Provincial Park on event day, a bus will be available for registered Chatham-Kent Pumpkin Run registrants and confirmed volunteers, free of charge.
The bus will leave CKHA’s Chatham Campus at 7:00 a.m. and will return by approximately 12:30 p.m.
Seating is very limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please contact the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation at 519.436.2538 by no later than Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at 4:00 p.m.
After the Tuesday, September 30, 2014, deadline, if seating is still available, family and friends of registered participants will also be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three participants in each age group (men and women) and to the event’s Top Fundraiser.
The event’s Top Fundraiser will receive a Garmin Forerunner® 610 GPS Unit.
As well, all 5km and 10km event participants will receive a Chatham-Kent Pumpkin Run Finisher’s Medal and the 100m ‘Lil Pumpkin Kids Dash participants will receive a ribbon.
All Chatham-Kent Pumpkin Run participants who raise more than $100 in pledges for this event will be entered into a draw to win a Fitbit® Flex™ Wireless Activity+Sleep Wristband, a 2015 Season Pass to any Provincial Park or a 2015 Summer Pass for any Provincial Park. With every $100 raised, the participants will receive another ballot to increase their chances of winning.
