Lose to Win
This year’s Lose to Win Fitness Challenge was a 16 week program that encouraged participants to increase their awareness of, and commitment to, the four pillars of a healthy lifestyle – physical activity, nutrition, healthy choices and prevention. For a $120 fee, participants were given access to Performance Fitness & Training, Certified Personal Trainers, boot camps and evening health education sessions for the duration of the program, starting in October 2013.
Participants gained points for every workout completed at Performance Fitness & Training, body fat percentage loss, inches lost as well as pledges raised for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation in support of CKHA’s Highest Priority Needs. The four individuals with the most accumulated points at the end of the competition were eligible for prizes generously provided by Performance Fitness & Training and the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation.
And the winner is…
On Wednesday, February 19, 2014, the participants and organizers of Lose to Win gathered for the program finale at CKHA’s Frank & Mary Uniac Auditorium, where the winner of Lose to Win and the overall fundraising total was announced.
Linda Murray was announced as the points leader, with an amazing 35 pounds and 30.5 inches lost and $3,503.10 raised in pledges. Linda was awarded the grand prize by Performance Fitness & Training – $1,000 in cash, a one year all-access membership to Performance Fitness & Training and a one year Chatham Crossfit membership.
Additional prizes were also awarded for:
Most Pledges Raised: Linda Murray with $3503.10 raised
Most Visits to the Gym: Beth Cummings with 104 visits to Performance Fitness & Training

During the finale, representatives from Performance Fitness & Training presented a cheque for $19,412 to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, representing the total pledges collected by the 4th Annual Lose to Win participants, from October 21, 2013 to February 7, 2014.
