COVID-19 Update – March 16, 2020
Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) has been closely monitoring the current situation with COVID-19, and I wanted to take an opportunity to provide an update on the precautions we are undertaking to limit the spread of this virus to protect our employees, donors, volunteers and community.
Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has made the decision to restrict visitor access to hospital sites and have excused volunteers from their duties until further notice. All meetings, both internal and external, are to be held virtually where possible.
CKHAF will therefore be postponing all donor meetings, tours, and cheque presentations. Donor and volunteer meetings will be held by teleconference where possible.
Our 15th Annual Pro-Am Golf tournament is still currently scheduled for June 19, 2020. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and should it be required to postpone this event, a notice will be communicated.
While it is business as usual for Foundation staff, the Foundation office is currently closed to all visitors, including volunteers and donors. We continue to welcome donations online at ckhaf.ca or by mail and will be providing receipts in a timely fashion, as always.
The steps above are being taken out of an abundance of caution and in an effort to reduce risk. We want to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19 at CKHAF, in Chatham-Kent, and our surrounding communities.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at the Foundation office – (519) 436-2538, should you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. I appreciate your continued support during this challenging time.
