Tom Dalios, owner of Dalios Denture and Hearing Clinic, along with members of his staff, presented a cheque today for $6,000 to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHA). The donation has been designated for the just-completed $6.9 million Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.

“We’re incredibly grateful to receive this generous donation to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation from Dalios Denture and Hearing Clinic and Starkey Hearing Technologies, which will help make healthcare better for the residents of our community,” said Mary Lou Crowley, Executive Director, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation. “All proceeds from this donation will be used to continue to finance the purchase of life saving equipment in the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.”

The $6,000 donation consists of two equal parts. The Dalios Clinic has taken a portion of the proceeds from the sale of hearing aids through their office, which accounts for one half of the donation, and one of their trusted suppliers, Starkey Hearing Technologies, matched this $3,000 amount.

“This donation is supporting equipment that improves the lives of people all over the community, the same people we serve every day,” says Tom Dalios, Owner, Dalios Denture and Hearing Clinic. “We are delighted to be able to give back to Chatham-Kent in this way.”

“It only makes sense to support a campaign like this, in a community that includes one of our best customers. We couldn’t be happier to match the donation of the Dalios Clinic, and to know that the funds will go to good use in one of the communities where we do business,” adds Mark Walker, Credit Administrator, Starkey Hearing Technologies.

Dalios Denture and Hearing Clinic is located on Wellington Street in Chatham, Ontario and has been providing hearing, denture, and optical care to the residents of Chatham-Kent since 1979. Starkey Hearing Technologies, headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, is a world leader in manufacturing and delivering advanced hearing solutions.

On May 28th, 2018, The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation announced it had surpassed its fundraising goal for the four-plus year $6.9 Million Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign. The funds raised are being used to purchase much-needed diagnostic medical equipment for Chatham-Kent, including ultrasound machines, a bone densitometer, and a just-installed SPECT-CT scanner.
