Foundation Golf Tournament nets over $120,000 in support of CKHA.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s (CKHAF) 19th Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised a record-setting amount, netting a total of $120,095 in support of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA). 136 golfers and over 30 volunteers contributed to the overwhelming success of this annual summer fundraiser that was held on Friday, June 7th at Maple City Country Club.

“For a charity golf tournament to net over $120,000, it speaks volumes about the generosity of this community, and the number of local organizations and community members who are passionate about supporting our hospital,” stated Christine Mitchell, CKHAF President & CEO. “We continue to be amazed by the support that we receive from across our community, and we’re so proud to have been able to deliver an unforgettable experience to our golfers, thanks to our generous event sponsors and the tireless efforts of our volunteers.”

The success of the tournament was made possible by the support of over 40 event partners, led by the event’s Platinum Donor, the Frank and Mary Uniac Charitable Fund. Gold Partners for the tournament included CIBC Wood Gundy: The Seabrook Financial Group and Entegrus. This seamless day of golf and fun was also made possible by the support of over 30 volunteers, including the event’s Planning Committee, who volunteered countless hours to ensure that the tournament ran smoothly.

The record-setting proceeds from this tournament will support the Highest Priority Needs at CKHA, allowing the Foundation to continue to make crucial investments in life-changing equipment and facility upgrades in our local hospital sites in Chatham and Wallaceburg.

“The needs and priorities of our hospital are always changing. The support that we receive through fundraisers like this is so important because it allows the Foundation to remain responsive and adaptable in our commitment to meet these evolving needs,” said Bob Hockney, CKHAF Board Chair. “We are able to exceed our fundraising goals with this tournament year after year because of the incredible support that we receive from our sponsors, golfers and volunteers, and we are so profoundly grateful for their ongoing commitment to CKHA.”
