The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHA) is excited to announce the dates of two signature events in support of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s $6.9 million CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign. The 12th Annual Pro/Am at Maple City Country Club will take place Friday, August 11, 2017 and the 5th Annual Chatham-Kent Pumpkin Run will take place Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Rondeau Provincial Park.
“We need to raise another $2.5 million for the Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign to purchase a much needed replacement CT Scan,” said Barb Noorenberghe, Development Officer. “These fun and popular events are a great way for the community to support this new equipment purchase.”
About the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign
Launched in late 2014, the $6.9 million Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign will support CKHA in the purchase of new equipment for the Diagnostic Imaging Department, including a urgently needed replacement of the dated CT Scan at a cost of $2.5 million.
The current CT Scan has reached its end of life, often down for repairs. Patients are having to reschedule appointments or are being referred to other hospitals. The current CT Scan shows 16 images, with the new CT Scan showing at least 8 times more for faster and more accurate diagnosis. More than 12,000 CT Scans were performed in 2016 at CKHA.
To date, more than $4.4 million has been raised for the campaign.
