31st Annual Christmas Wish Tree
RBC Wealth Management Dominion Securities
Karen Ewald, VP & Portfolio Manager
Our 31st Annual Christmas Wish Tree Campaign is underway, and will run until January 31st, 2021. This year’s campaign will support CKHA’s new Urology Services, through the purchase of a new Bladder Scanner for CKHA’s Wallaceburg Site, and a new Urodynamics Machine for CKHA’s Chatham Site. Members of the community make a donation in memory of a loved one, and receive a light on the tree in recognition. Our memorial trees are lit up in Chatham and Wallaceburg during a special ceremony where we celebrate those who are being remembered.
For the first time in our 30 year history, we received a matching gift for Christmas Wish Tree! Bob & Robin Hockney, retired local business owners who have lived in Chatham-Kent for 31 years, wanted to do something to give back to their community. They matched the first $25,000 donated to the campaign, and then another $25,000 for Giving Tuesday!
To donate, or for more information click here.
Join us for a special live broadcast of our Christmas Wish Tree lighting ceremonies on YourTV Chatham-Kent and the CKHAF Facebook page @ckhafoundation, December 16th @ 6:00pm in Wallaceburg & December 17th @ 6:00pm in Chatham.
18th Annual Parade of Chefs Presented by Precise ParkLink
We are extremely disappointed to announce that this year’s 18th Annual Parade of Chefs presented by Precise ParkLink has been cancelled. Although this was a very difficult decision, the health and wellbeing of our community is our first priority. We thank you for your understanding and hope to make our 2021 Parade of Chefs the biggest and best one yet!
Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser
Our 2nd Annual Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser was a huge success, raising $345,740! Congratulations to Emily from Highgate who had the winning ticket for this year’s $172,870 jackpot! Proceeds from this year’s fundraiser will go towards the purchase of a C-Arm – a piece of advanced medical imaging equipment that uses X-ray technology. Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser!
The 15th Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament presented by Entegrus was held on Friday August 14th at Maple City Country Club. Although this year’s tournament featured a new format and strict adherence to social distancing practices, participants came together for an excellent day on the golf course. The event was an overwhelming success raising over $75,000 towards the purchase of a new C-Arm diagnostic imaging machine for CKHA’s new Urology services.
