Our 2nd Annual Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser is now live! Tickets are sold from June 17th, 2020 to August 26th, 2020, in support of the Urology program at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Proceeds from this year’s fundraiser will go towards the purchase of a C-Arm – a piece of advanced medical imaging equipment that uses X-ray technology. Launched on May 6, 2019, Southwestern Ontario’s largest ever charitable online 50/50 fundraiser was a tremendous success! Our first Igniting Healthcare 50/50 Fundraiser raised an overall pot of $298,360.00, breaking the old 50/50 draw record of $168,000.00. Tickets were sold at various events across Chatham-Kent and online. Our lucky jackpot winner, Bert Vanderheide from Blenheim, took home a cheque for $149,180.00 on July 27, 2019. The proceeds from this draw went towards purchasing a new Holmium laser, a key piece of equipment for the new Urology program at CKHA.
The 15th Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament presented by Entegrus has been rescheduled to Friday August 14th, and will take place at Maple City Country Club. The Pro/Am is a golf tournament where participants come together for an excellent day on the golf course in support of our hospital.

17th Annual Parade of Chefs
Last year’s 17th Annual Parade of Chefs took place on October 3rd. We were thrilled to have celebrity host, John Catucci, as well as local talented chefs, wineries, breweries and farmers at this event. The event raised almost $150,000 in support of the return of the Urology program to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
Christmas Wish Tree
Last year’s Annual Christmas Wish Tree Lighting Campaign supported the purchase of two new patient ventilators and three new pediatric cribs for CKHA’s Emergency and Women and Children’s departments. Through this campaign, members of the community publicly honoured family members and friends by making a donation to illuminate one of three different coloured tree lights in support of their local hospital. In addition to the lighting of the tree, a candle lighting ceremony was also featured to pay tribute to our loved ones.
Charity Curling Classic
The Annual Charity Curling Classic took place at the Sydenham Community Curling Club in Wallaceburg on Saturday February 1st. The bonspiel brings curlers together to team up, sweep the ice and raise pledges for Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. The day also includes a silent auction, 50/50 draw, and prizes for the top teams and fundraisers. This year’s winning team was Tobin Richardson, Lisa Richardson, Jennifer Demars, and Paul Demars, and our top fundraiser was Wayne Negrave, raising $753 in pledges.
You can also make a donation of an item for our event silent and live auctions, or sponsor an event through your business. You can find more information here about our upcoming events. If you have any questions, please contact TMercer@ckha.on.ca
