MONDAY AUGUST 26, 2019 – The foundation was presented with a $10,000 cheque from the Helping Hands Auxiliary at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA). This money will be used to purchase needed equipment for the hospital’s Oncology department, including a new digital floor scale and a roaming medical supply cart. Any additional funds will be used to support the return of Urology services to CKHA.
All funds were raised through various initiatives coordinated by the Auxiliary, including proceeds from the Boutique Grand Gift Shop located at the CKHA Chatham site. These generous efforts would not be possible without the commitment from JoAn Dale, Chair, Helping Hands Auxiliary, and the many dedicated volunteers.
The Auxiliary has been a great supporter of CKHAF over the years, donating more than $350,000 to improve healthcare in our community. In the past, they have supported causes including the OB/GYN Clinic and CKHA’s Emergency Department with donations allowing the purchase of much needed equipment.
