It was announced on Tuesday, August 22 2017 that Greg Hetherington has been named Co-Chair for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s $6.9 million Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign. Along with Co-Chair Dave Depencier (Depencier Builders) and Honourary Chair Andy Fantuz, Greg will be leading the way to completing this important campaign by spring of 2018. Eighteen new pieces of equipment will be purchased for the DI Department at both Chatham and Sydenham Campuses.
Wallaceburg’s own Greg Hetherington has been gracing the airwaves of Chatham-Kent for over 20 years as a morning personality, most recently from 99.1 FM CKXS in Wallaceburg where Greg is the General Manager, Morning Show host, and community advocate. Greg has been involved with the Foundation since its inception, assisting with promoting events and fundraising, and helping to organize fundraisers to benefit the Foundation. A recent medical scare involving CKHA’s CT Scan resulted in Greg’s undeniable passion in assisting the Foundation to reach its fundraising goals.
“I’m putting cookies back into the cookie jar. My life was saved after a CT Scan at the Chatham hospital found a pulmonary embolism in my lungs. By helping the Foundation to purchase this new equipment, I’m putting cookies back into the cookie jar. It’s a small cookie in a big jar, but I want to make sure the next person gets a proper diagnosis as well.”
