Donor Dollars Purchase Five New Patient Monitors for Sydenham ED
Generous contributions to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHA) have allowed CKHA to purchase five new patient monitors for the Emergency Department (ED) at CKHA’s Sydenham Campus. Valued at more than $105,000, these upgraded patient monitors are essential for optimal care as they provide critical bedside monitoring of a patient’s cardiac and vital signs while under the care of healthcare professionals in the ED.
“We are thrilled to have these new, upgraded, patient monitors in place at the Sydenham Campus,” says Lisa High, Director – Emergency Services, CKHA. “Our old system served us well over the years, but an upgrade was urgently needed. These new monitors will help us to continue to provide our patients with the best care possible, through timely and accurate cardiac and vital signs monitoring.”
The purchase of the new patient monitors was made possible through generous contributions to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation in support of CKHA’s most urgent capital equipment needs at the Sydenham Campus.
“On behalf of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, thank you to the residents of Chatham-Kent for their ongoing and generous contributions to local healthcare,” says Michele Grzebien-Huckson, Executive Director, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation. “Without your support of CKHA’s most urgent capital equipment needs, we would not have been able to purchase this important patient monitoring system for Sydenham’s ED. We are very grateful for your support.”
