CHATHAM-KENT ON – From March 30 to April 5, fitness instructors came together from across Chatham-Kent to get the community moving, all while supporting Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s COVID-19 Healthcare Relief Fund, and raised a total of $1,015.
The week long Sweat for Safety fundraiser provided the community with different dance and fitness classes via Facebook live including Low Impact Cardio, Adult Ballet, Yoga, Dancefit, Belly Dancing, Barre and Kids Wiggle.
Participants were asked to make a donation to the fundraiser, which would support the highest priority needs of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, and the front-line staff putting their own health at risk to protect our community.
Event organizer and owner of Total Dance Alliance Lauren Bonner says “I have a lot of friends and family that work within the healthcare field and I really just need to help protect them the best that I can”.
If you, like Lauren, are looking for a way to support our front-line staff at CKHA, and are interested in organizing a community event, please contact Megan Canniff, Marketing and Community Relations Officer at CKHA Foundation at MCanniff@ckha.on.ca.
