Pioneer Hi-Bred Limited Charity Golf Tournament Benefits CKHA

CHATHAM, ON (Monday, August 29, 2016): On August 4, 2016, Pioneer Hi-Bred Limited representatives presented the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHA) with a cheque for $1,851.44 for the CKHA Oncology Patient Parking Program. This generous donation was made possible through golfer registrations, dinner and raffles. More than 66 golfers participated in this annual golf tournament held on June 25, 2016 at Deer Run Golf Course in Blenheim.

The CKHA Oncology Patient Parking Program provides free parking for patients undergoing treatment at CKHA.

“Many thanks to Pioneer Hi-Bred Limited and the 21st Annual Employee Charity Golf Tournament Steering Committee on their generous donation to the CKHA Oncology Patient Parking Program,” said Michele Grzebien-Huckson, Executive Director, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation. “This donation will have a meaningful and lasting impact on local healthcare and Oncology patients receiving treatment at CKHA.”

About the CKHA Oncology Patient Parking Program
This program was established in 2011 by a donor wishing to ease the costs of parking for Oncology patients receiving treatment at CKHA. To date more than $40,000 has been raised for the program.

About the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHA) was established in 1998 to enhance the quality of healthcare available to the citizens of Chatham-Kent by raising funds and providing other resources to support CKHA. It accomplishes this through annual campaigns, capital and endowment campaigns, memorial giving, special events and planned giving. To date, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation has raised over $40 million.
