As we eagerly anticipate the arrival of spring and warmer weather ahead, I am inspired by the support that our Foundation receives year-round from across our community, and the way that our supporters anticipate and get excited about upcoming events and fundraisers.
The Foundation team is currently hard at work planning and looking forward to all of the exciting fundraising initiatives that lie ahead in 2023, including one of our community’s favourite fundraising events that will be making its long-awaited return after a three-year hiatus!
We are thrilled to announce the highly-anticipated return of the 18th Annual Parade of Chefs, presented by Precise ParkLink, on September 28, 2023. This year’s all-new theme – A Royal Affair with Local Flair – will provide our honoured guests with the chance to indulge in an exquisite evening of local food and drink and exclusive experiences unlike anything seen before here in our community.
Our Celebrity Host for this year’s event, Chef Darren McGrady, served for fifteen years as the personal chef for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Diana, Princess of Wales, and Princes William and Harry.
Of course, we are also very excited to bring back our Physician Royal Butler Wine Servers, which is always one of the highlights for our honoured guests.
If you’re interested in joining us for an evening of elegance in support local healthcare, tickets go on sale Monday, March 27th. Event proceeds will support the purchase of an ORTHO VISION – Swift Analyzer for CKHA’s Laboratory Transfusion Medicine Department.
In addition to the return of Parade of Chefs, there is so much more to look forward to in the year ahead, and we know that our amazing community will be there to provide overwhelming support every step of the way.
