CHATHAM, ON (Wednesday, August 20, 2014): On Friday, August 15, 2014, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHA) hosted its 9th Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament saw over 128 golfers and 32 club professionals, from across Southwestern Ontario, enjoy a day of golf at Maple City Country Club in support of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s upcoming Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign, set to launch this Fall. Early estimates are indicating that more than $40,000 was raised on Friday.
As one of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s signature events, the 9th Annual Pro/Am, held at Maple City Country Club, featured 18 holes of golf, ‘putting’, ‘Hole-in-One’ and ‘closest-to-the-pin’ contests, an elegant cocktail reception and a fabulous dinner and live auction featuring a Collingwood Golf Getaway, a private Windsor Spitfires Viewing Box Package, a KWV® Wine and Fridge Package and a professionally catered dinner party, among several others.
“Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, donors, supporters and staff, our 9th Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament was once again a tremendous success, raising much needed funds for CKHA’s most urgent capital equipment needs,” says Michele Grzebien-Huckson, Executive Director, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation. “A sincere thank you to all who were involved in last Friday’s tournament – we are looking forward to hosting you again in 2015!”
