CHATHAM, ON (Wednesday, August 19, 2015): On Friday, August 14, 2015, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHA) hosted its 10th Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament saw over 116 golfers and 29 club professionals, from across Southwestern Ontario, enjoy a day of golf at Maple City Country Club in support of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s $6.9 million CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign. Early estimates are indicating that more than $37,000 was raised last Friday.
As one of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s signature events, the 10th Annual Pro/Am, held at Maple City Country Club, featured 18 holes of golf, ‘putting’, ‘Hole-in-One’ and ‘closest-to-the-pin’ contests, an elegant cocktail reception and a fabulous dinner and silent and live auctions featuring a Collingwood Golf Getaway, a Wine and Fridge Package and a Hamilton Tiger-Cats Tailgate Party, among several others.
“Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, donors, supporters and staff, our 10th Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament was once again a tremendous success, raising much needed funds for the CKHA DI Equipment Renewal Campaign,” says Michele Grzebien-Huckson, Executive Director, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation. “Your generosity has helped to bring us one step closer to bringing new state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment to our local hospitals – and for that, we are very grateful.”

About the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign
As part of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s directive to raise funds to support CKHA’s Highest Priority Needs, the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign was launched to support CKHA in the purchase of new diagnostic imaging equipment for CKHA’s Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Phase 1 of this campaign will focus on the purchase of a new Fluoroscopy System, a new CT Scan, new Ultrasound Equipment and a new Bone Densitometer – these four key pieces of equipment serve almost every program offered at CKHA and are key for diagnoses in a multitude of cases, including heart, stroke, cancer, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, obstetrics and gynecology, just to name a few.
To date, more than $2.7 million has been raised for this important campaign.
