Rules of Play for 50/50 Electronic Raffle

    1. The on-line lottery will take place from May 24, 2023- July 12, 2023, tickets can be purchased at any time between these dates at ignite5050.ca.
    2. The hand-held option to purchase lottery tickets may be available at various locations throughout the Municipality of Chatham-Kent between the dates of May 24, 2023- July 12, 2023.
    3. The following locations are scheduled for ticket sales during the listed dates and times (subject to change):

    4. The draw will take place at 1:00 pm on July 12, 2023 at 785 St Clair St., Chatham. The Early Bird Prize Draws will take place as follows:
      • June 2, 2023 – $1,000 cash prize

    5. All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.
    6. Tickets are $10.00 for 10 tickets, $20.00 for 60 tickets and $50.00 for 200 tickets and $75.00 for 350 tickets.
    7. Tickets will be sold using electronic raffle system supplied by Ascend Fundraising Solutions.
    8. After buying, patrons will be given by the sellers, a receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.
    9. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw for the Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser.
    10. The amount of the 50/50 will be on the website ignite5050.ca, and updated regularly on CKHAF social media channels.
    11. The winning number will be announced via a Facebook Live event on the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Facebook page, as well as through posts on the CKHAF Instagram and Twitter pages (@ckhafoundation), posted on www.ckhaf.ca and through a Media Release to the community.
    12. To claim the prize, the patron with the winning number must contact the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation in person at 9 Ursuline Ave, Chatham, by phone at (519) 436-2538, or by email at foundation@ckha.on.ca. The winning ticket must be brought to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation where winner will then be paid by cheque for the amount posted at the event for which they bought their ticket. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies. All payments will be made by cheque.
    13. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchase for.
    14. The winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.
    15. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for the Igniting Healthcare 50/50 Raffle. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
    16. If no winner comes forward the number will be announced repeatedly through local media, and posted on the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation website and social media accounts.
    17. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning stub will kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated to a charity other than Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
    18. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draw:
      • Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation Board of Directors, and staff assisting in the conduct and management of the 50/50 event may not have any monetary interest ticket or entry, or have a chance to win a lottery prize in any way.
        Any volunteer actively assisting in the conduct and management of the 50/50 event may not purchase a ticket. Volunteers who are not participating in an active role may purchase a ticket.
    19. The above set of rules will be posted at each event and location.
