The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s (CKHAF) Igniting Healthcare 50/50 Fundraiser is back again, and it’s shaping up to be the hottest 50/50 that Chatham-Kent has ever seen! The Igniting Healthcare Summer 50/50 launched on Tuesday, July 2nd, with the grand prize set for Friday, August 9th. For the first time ever, the campaign is guaranteeing a minimum $100,000 jackpot, plus $10,000 in total Early Bird Prizes.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support that our recent Holiday and Spring 50/50s have received, and now that summer is here, we’re so excited to turn up the heat and raise the excitement to a new level with our $100,000 guaranteed jackpot,” said Christine Mitchell, CKHAF President & CEO. “We love that this fundraiser gives us a chance to give back to the community that supports our Foundation and hospital year-round, and we can’t wait to present one lucky winner with a cheque for at least $100,000, and hopefully much more!”
In addition to the grand prize jackpot, Early Bird prizes will be awarded on three Winning Wednesdays throughout the campaign:
- Wednesday, July 17th – 1 x $3,000 Early Bird Prize
- Wednesday, July 24th – 2 x $1,000 Early Bird Prizes
- Wednesday, July 31st – 1 x $5,000 Early Bird Prize
Tickets can be purchased online any time at www.ignite5050.ca. In person ticket sales will also be available at the CKHAF office (9 Ursuline Ave, Chatham), Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, and at special off-site locations throughout the region during the campaign.
Proceeds from the Summer 50/50 will be designated towards the Highest Priority Needs at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA), allowing the Foundation to continue to make crucial investments in life-changing equipment and facility upgrades in both the Wallaceburg and Chatham hospital sites.
“Our hospital’s greatest needs and priorities are always changing, so it’s very important for our Foundation to remain responsive and adaptable in our commitment to meeting these needs,” Mitchell stated. “Since 2019, we’ve raised over $1.7 million through these 50/50s, with half that total going to support our hospital, and the other half being paid out to our lucky winners. We want to see that number climb way higher this summer, and we know that our community will step up in support of this campaign like it always does.”
