Saturday, October 1st from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) is excited to bring you CKHA’s Frontline Faces Radiothon, presented by Precise ParkLink and in partnership with Blackburn Media.
Community members are urged to tune in to Country 92.9 FM or 630 AM CFCO on Saturday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to hear a wide range of interviews that will shine a light on the exceptional, compassionate care delivered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) on a daily basis.
“This is the first event of its kind in Chatham-Kent, and we know that our community will step up to honour its frontline healthcare workers on Saturday,” said Mary Lou Crowley, CKHAF President & CEO. “Radiothon will feature dozens of inspiring stories from CKHA physicians, staff, volunteers, and grateful patients that will give you a greater appreciation for the strength and dedication of our hospital’s frontline staff. We are thrilled to celebrate these wonderful healthcare professionals, and we know that our community will join us in showing them just how appreciated they really are.”
All proceeds from Radiothon will support important healthcare initiatives, including equipment renewal, program innovation, and modern facilities at CKHA. The Foundation is calling upon Chatham-Kent residents to donate all week long by calling the TekSavvy Radiothon Phone Line at 519-436-2587 or by visiting the Radiothon website at give.classy.org/RadiothonCK.
Community members are also encouraged to make in-person donations by stopping by the CIBC Radiothon Headquarters, located in the Frank and Mary Uniac Auditorium at CKHA’s Chatham site, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 1st.
“The Foundation invests in equipment, innovation, and modern facilities at CKHA, as government funding does not cover the costs in these areas,” stated Bob Hockney, CKHAF Board Chair. “Community support is crucial in ensuring that our hospital’s frontline staff have access to the best equipment and resources possible. Radiothon will provide Chatham-Kent residents with an opportunity to make donations in honour of the frontline healthcare workers in their lives, which will have a real impact on their ability to continue to provide world class care for patients from across our community.”
Hospitals across Ontario continue to face immense challenges, and the same is true here in Chatham-Kent. CKHA has fared well in recent years, particularly when compared to other hospitals in the province, and community support is needed now more than ever to help CKHA’s frontline staff continue to provide exceptional care.
“Every frontline healthcare worker is a precious asset to our community, and all CKHA staff have shown remarkable resilience in recent years,” said Dr. Pervez Faruqi, Chief of Staff at CKHA. “CKHA’s need for support from the community will only continue to grow in the coming years. This Radiothon will give community members a glimpse into the amazing work done at CKHA every day, and hopefully motivate many listeners to make donations to help maintain the excellent healthcare that is available to us right here in Chatham-Kent.”
